We present DHinfra.at, with a focus on the GPU cluster and its language models: what they can do, how to get in, and what already runs on them. From 1 October we accept project applications from research and teaching in the humanities in Austria; accepted projects use the cluster free of charge until 31 December 2026.

The core of Pletka, a platform for building semantic data models together, is released under the Apache 2.0 licence. DHinfra.at funded its storage backend, admin dashboard and generators. With it, the last of the three open-source tools we invested in is released, after QLever and liiive.now.
The DHinfra.at project ended in June after internal testing phases with partner projects. DHinfra-Gov has taken over, the firewalls are open, and the GPU and LLM cluster in Graz now accepts all members of the DHinfra.at consortium and CLARIAH-AT partner institutions. Further opening starts in October.
A student project in digital epigraphy as an example of what the cluster's GPU nodes can be used for, from a single training run to a systematic parameter search.
On 8 June 2026 DHinfra.at presented the results of three and a half years of building shared DH infrastructure across Austria. As the project closes at the end of June, a CLARIAH-AT follow-up takes over the rollout into live operations.
